They're Coming. And I've Been Ready Since 1977. 👽✨

Ten days. Steven Spielberg. And a lifelong obsession that somehow led me here, to a crystal shop on Water Street.

I need to talk about the new movie Disclosure Day.

Because I cannot stop thinking about it since I saw the first trailer at The Rose. And honestly? I've been waiting for this movie my entire adult life.

Here's my confession.

I am obsessed with UFOs. Extra-terrestrials. Aliens. The unexplained. The question that has haunted humanity since we first looked up at the night sky and wondered, are we alone?

And it started with Spielberg.

1977. A Little Girl. Close Encounters.

I was a kid when I saw Close Encounters of the Third Kind for the first time.

And something in me just... cracked open.

Not from fear. From recognition. Like some part of me already knew that the universe was bigger, stranger, and more magnificent than anyone was telling us. That the night sky was not empty. That contact, in some form, was not just possible but perhaps inevitable.

That feeling never left.

It sent me down rabbit holes. I’ve seen that movie dozens of times. (You can imagine my excitement when it played at The Rose a couple of years ago). I watch any movie about aliens or space that comes out. I’ve read a ton of books. And watched more documentaries than I could count, and listened to many podcasts (anyone remember Art Bell and Coast to Coast Radio?).

I’ve even traveled to various conferences to spend time with researchers and hear stories from those in the UFO community. The more I learned, the more certain I became that the question wasn't if; it was when and how.

And now, nearly 50 years later, Steven Spielberg is back. With a full-scale, IMAX blockbuster. Starring Emily Blunt, Colin Firth, and Josh O'Connor. With a score by John Williams, the same John Williams who wrote the iconic five notes of Close Encounters!

Disclosure Day opens June 12th.

Ten days from today.

I have been waiting for this my whole life.

What Is Disclosure Day About?

Details are being kept tightly under wraps - very Spielberg of him.

What we know is this. The film asks a single, stunning question:

"If you found out we weren't alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you?"

It explores what happens when humanity receives confirmation. Not a hint. Not a blurry photo. Real confirmation. And it apparently asks something even deeper - what does that knowledge do to us? How does it change what we believe about ourselves, about consciousness, about humans' place in the universe?

That question doesn't frighten me.

It thrills me.

And don’t even get me started on the link between the movie and what is happening with real life Disclosure (that’s a rabbit hole for another day).

How a UFO Obsession Led to a Crystal Shop

Here's where it gets interesting for those of you who know Soulful Abundance.

My lifelong fascination with the unexplained - with the paranormal, with aliens, with contact, with the moon, with the idea that reality is far stranger and more beautiful than we've been taught - is not separate from why this shop exists.

It's the same curiosity. The same deep knowing that there is more.

Crystals, metaphysics, spiritual practice, UFOlogy - they all live in the same region of the soul. The region that refuses to accept that this boringly normal, one-dimensional, surface-level world is all there is. There has got to be more.

That's why we don't just sell crystals here. We also host a UFOlogy Book Club.

Every month, a small group of curious minds gathers right here on Water Street to read, discuss, and explore the deeper questions of contact, consciousness, and what it means to be human. No tinfoil hats required. Just open minds and good tea.

Join Us June 22nd for the UFOlogy Book Club 👽

This month we are reading The Key: A True Encounter by Whitley Strieber, the bestselling author of Communion.

The Key tells the story of a mysterious visitor who appeared in Strieber's hotel room in the middle of the night and spent hours imparting extraordinary lessons about human consciousness, our potential, and our fate.

Strange. Unsettling. Deeply compelling. Exactly our kind of book.

📅 Monday, June 22nd 🕔 5:00 – 6:30 PM 🎟️ $2 per person, tickets available on our website

No prior UFOlogy knowledge needed. Just an open mind and a sense of wonder. Tea is provided, bring a snack or dinner.

Spots are limited. Reserve yours today.

And go see Disclosure Day on June 12th at The Rose right around the corner from the shop. You know I will be there.

Come talk about it with us on June 22nd.

And in the meantime — keep looking up. They are coming.👽✨

With wonder, Jenn 🌌
