May Day & the Full Flower Moon 🌕 The Crystals for May

Some months arrive like a whisper. May arrives like a bloom.

May 1st is here.

And if you've been feeling a pull lately, a restlessness, a hunger, a sense that something is ready to shift, you're not imagining it.

Friday, two powerful forces land on the exact same day.

May Day. And the Full Flower Moon in Scorpio.

That is rare. And it is significant.

💜 Why May 1st Has Always Been Sacred to Me

I have loved May 1st my whole life.

I was raised Catholic. And in the Catholic tradition, May 1st is May Day, the beginning of a whole month dedicated to the Mother Mary. May is honored as Mary's month because she represents new life, the blooming of spring, and the tender power of the divine feminine. The whole month belongs to her.

When I was little, my grandmother Marie and I would make lilac crowns together. The lilacs would just be starting to bloom, and we would gather them and weave them into crowns to place on the Mother Mary statue at church. It was meaningful and beautiful and is a memory I think about every year.

My grandmother had a profound, personal relationship with Mary. When she passed, my aunt wrote in her obituary that she was probably enjoying daily tea with her in heaven. My cousins and I still joke about that.

And I believe that completely for her.

What strikes me now is how seamlessly it all weaves together. May Day. The Mother Mary. The lilacs. The Full Flower Moon. Ancient pagan traditions also honor May 1st as a sacred fire festival celebrating the Earth in full bloom, different traditions, same devotion. All of it pointing to the same sacred energy - the divine feminine, the power of new life, the beauty of a world bursting open.

May has always felt like a holy month to me. This year, it feels more so than ever.

🌕 The Full Flower Moon in Scorpio

Friday’s full moon carries a particular kind of depth.

The Flower Moon in Scorpio doesn't stay on the surface. Scorpio energy goes deep.(I have Scorpio girlfriends, and that Scorpio energy is real!). It illuminates what has been hiding beneath. Emotions you've been managing. Truths you haven't quite faced. Things you are finally, truly ready to release.

Full moons are always invitations to let go. This one means it.

And crystals are one of the most beautiful ways to work with that energy.

🌸 Crystals to Work With This May

Carnelian — Sacred Fire May is a month of vitality and bold new beginnings. Carnelian carries that energy completely. Creativity, confidence, forward motion. If there is something you have been waiting to begin, a project, a decision, a new chapter, Carnelian says now. Hold it. Wear it. Let it light you up.

Green Aventurine — The Abundance Magnet May is fertile ground, not just for the Earth, but for your creative life. Green Aventurine opens the door to opportunity and expansion. It is the stone of "yes, and." Of trusting that more is coming.

Rose Quartz — The Heart Opener Mary's month is a month of love. Rose Quartz holds that energy beautifully, softening the heart, inviting love in all its forms, and reminding you that abundance includes deep, tender connection.

Labradorite — The Magic Keeper Under a Scorpio Full Moon, intuition runs high. Labradorite lives in the space between worlds. It strengthens your inner knowing, protects your energy during spiritual work, and helps you see what is true beneath what is visible.

Amethyst — The Truth Teller Scorpio brings things to light. Amethyst helps you receive that clarity with calm and grace. It quiets the noise and creates the inner stillness that lets truth land gently rather than harshly.

Black Tourmaline — The Releaser Full moons are for letting go. Black Tourmaline transmutes what you release, making sure it doesn't linger in your field. Write down what you're ready to be done with. Hold your Tourmaline. Mean it.

How to Work With These Stones under the Full Moon.

You don't need an elaborate ritual. Intention is everything.

Light a candle. Hold a stone that calls to you. Sit quietly for a few minutes and ask - what am I ready to call in? What am I ready to release?

Then let yourself feel it.

That is the ritual. It is simpler and more powerful than most people expect. Afterward, they will carry the energy of this extraordinary night with them.

We have all of these stones in the shop right now, tumbled, raw, and in jewelry. Come in and see what calls to you.

Happy May Day. Happy Full Moon.

And wherever she is, I hope Grandma Marie is enjoying her tea and weaving a lilac crown. 💜🌸

With love, Jenn 🌕
