The Eclipse Sandwich Is Almost Over: Friday's Lunar Eclipse in Pisces

We felt it. All of us. And now we're almost through.

I want to start by acknowledging something.

This week has been a lot.

Here at Soulful Abundance, we all felt the intensity of eclipse season moving through us. The emotions that surfaced without warning. The sense that something was shifting, whether we were ready or not. The urge to rearrange the store because the energy needed somewhere to go.

If your week felt heavy, disorienting, or emotionally charged, you are not imagining it. And you are not alone.

We have been sitting in the middle of what astrologers call an eclipse sandwich, the stretch of intense energy between two eclipses. The total solar eclipse hit on August 12th. And this Friday, August 28th, the partial lunar eclipse in Pisces closes it out.

We are almost through. And this final eclipse has something important to say.

Solar vs. Lunar Eclipses: What's the Difference?

Before we dive into Friday, let's talk about what makes these two types of eclipses so different in how they feel.

Solar Eclipses occur at the New Moon, when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, temporarily blocking the Sun's light. Energetically, solar eclipses are about beginnings. They plant seeds for new chapters, sometimes dramatically and without much warning. They initiate. They push you forward into something new whether you feel ready or not. The August 12th solar eclipse was that energy, a forceful, accelerating push toward what comes next.

Lunar Eclipses occur at the Full Moon, when the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow across the Moon's face. Energetically, lunar eclipses are about endings. About what needs to be released, completed, or finally let go of. They illuminate what has been hiding in the shadows and bring it into the light, ready or not. Lunar eclipses are three times more powerful and emotionally intense than regular full moons. They mark culminations, breakthroughs, or breakdowns, triggering a deep assessment of our most internal fears, feelings, and actions.

Think of it this way. The solar eclipse two weeks ago asked: what is beginning? Friday's lunar eclipse asks: what is finally, truly done?

The Lunar Eclipse in Pisces: A Two Year Story Closing

This lunar eclipse closes a chapter that opened almost exactly two years ago, in September 2024, when the Virgo-Pisces eclipse series began. Every eclipse since then has worked the same territory, asking us to look honestly at the gap between what we feel and what we actually do about it, the places where we need clearer boundaries, more compassion, and deeper faith.

Two years of that work. And Friday is the closing chapter.

This eclipse brings a release around illusion, boundaries, compassion, faith, and the gap between what you feel and what you do about it.

Pisces is the final sign of the zodiac. The dreamer, the mystic, the empath. It governs the spiritual world, the subconscious, and the places in us that feel things deeply but sometimes struggle to act on what we know. Lunar eclipses reveal what has been hidden and tend to move along endings we may have held onto longer than necessary.

This eclipse is not asking you to figure everything out. It is asking you to release what you already know needs to go.

You probably know exactly what that is.

What This Week Was Really About

The intensity you felt this week was not random.

Sitting between two eclipses is one of the most energetically turbulent stretches of the entire year. Old things surface. Emotions amplify. What was buried comes up because the eclipses are doing the deep work of clearing and completing, making room for the new chapter that the solar eclipse on August 12th already initiated.

It is not comfortable. It was never meant to be.

But it is purposeful. Every bit of it.

What to Do With Friday's Energy

Let it close. This eclipse is completing a two-year story. You don't need to understand every chapter of it. You just need to allow it to end.

Release without forcing. Pisces energy is gentle and intuitive. Don't push or analyze. Sit quietly. Breathe. Let what needs to surface, surface.

Trust what you feel. Your emotions this week were data, not drama. Pay attention to what came up. It was showing you something real.

Rest. Eclipse season is exhausting. After Friday, give yourself genuine permission to rest and integrate before rushing forward.

You made it. 🌑
